Phillip has been actively engaged in the construction industry since 2009, contributing to a diverse array of projects primarily in Bristol and the South West. He began his career at Northcroft, where he worked on numerous healthcare projects for Gloucestershire Primary Care Trust, including new community hospitals in Moreton-in-Marsh, Dursley, and Tewkesbury.
Phillip was selected by Northcroft to lead the development of a new measurement and cost planning software. This initiative led to a collaboration with Exactal in London to develop CostX for the UK market, which has since become one of the most popular software applications for quantity surveyors in the UK. CostX played a crucial role in the delivery of two £80m ward blocks at Ulster Hospital, where Phillip served as one of the lead cost managers.
In 2012, Northcroft was acquired by Capita Symonds, where Phillip began working with emesen co-founder, Steve Milsom. There, he was cost manager on significant projects such as the Priory Road Lecture Theatre for the University of Bristol and the redevelopment of Ashton Gate Stadium.
Phillip's journey continued at Fulkers Bailey Russell in 2016, where he established the Bristol office. During his time there, the office grew to over 20 technical staff, covering cost management, project management, and building surveying.
Phillip has been the commercial lead on major projects in the South West, including the Epic Long Ashton Campus, Plot A Silverthorne Lane for the University of Bristol, and the award-winning Origin Workspace on Berkeley Square.
